End of Life Support
When someone is nearing the end of life, it can be an upsetting time for all involved. All our staff have completed End of Life training and are fully supported by senior staff who in turn support the service user and their families. We do work closely with other professionals to ensure the best possible care is given at all times.
More people are preferring to stay at home at the end of life as opposed to being in hospital. We can provide, in partnership with doctors and nurses, all aspects of end of life care to make sure that the person’s needs are fully met with dignity. Our support includes the families who, at such a difficult time, are also in need.
Passing away with dignity and as peaceful as possible in familiar surroundings, is what many of us would hope for and it is what we aim to provide.
If someone is in hospital and it is the wish that they come home to pass away, we work closely with the NHS to make sure the transition to home is as smooth as possible for the service user and the families. End of Life care in most cases can be put in place and started within 24 hours by our fully trained staff and senior staff.
